Delight your subscribers and boost retention with automated free gifts on recurring orders.

1. Introduction:

Reward your loyal subscribers with surprise gifts and make every renewal more exciting! The Free Gift feature lets you automatically add bonus items to customers’ subscription orders based on specific rules — such as order value, cycle number, or selected selling plans.

2. How to use:

Fill out gift information

Fill out the Gift Information. This is the basics of your gift campaign:

  • Name your campaign for easy tracking.

  • Set a Start Date & Time, and optionally an End Date if you want the campaign to expire automatically.

💡Tip: Leave the end date blank if you want the campaign to run indefinitely.

Determine the Gift Condition

Determine the Gift Condition. This defines when and how the gift is applied:

  • Selling Plans: Select one or more plans to link your gift to.

  • Condition: Set a Minimum Quantity or Order Value to qualify for the gift.

  • Start From Cycle: Choose from which delivery cycle the first gift is sent.

  • Repeat After: Set how many cycles later the gift repeats (e.g., every 3rd renewal).

  • Send after the first delivery: Toggle on or off to control when the gifting starts.

⚠️ Note: Any changes made to a Free Gift campaign won’t apply to the next order that includes a gift - updates will take effect from the second order with a gift instead, so create and adjust gifts with care.

Select gift product

Set the Gift Product. Pick the actual items customers will receive:

  • Search for product variants and add up to 5 gift products per campaign.

  • Gifts will be automatically added to qualifying subscription orders that meet your set conditions.

Enable Gift Selection

Enable Gift Selection if you want to allow customers to choose a set number of gifts from your selected collection, not all of them.

Note: The Number of selectable gifts cannot exceed the number of gifts available, and cannot be smaller than 1.

Test the Gift Display

Test the Gift Display. The Free gift will be displayed with the Product and Plan on all Product, Cart and Checkout pages:

  • On the product page: A clear section appears under the subscription widget, showing the exact free gift customers will receive when choosing a qualifying subscription plan.

  • On the checkout page: The gift’s name and image are displayed under the main product so customers can see exactly what they’re getting.

  • On the cart page: The gift’s name and image are displayed alongside the main product and tagged as the gift name so customers can see exactly what are in their cart.

Note: The display when Enabling Gift selection will have extra options for customers to choose free gifts. If the Number of selectable gifts is 1, there will be radio buttons. If it is 2 or more, there will be checkboxes

📝 Notes

  • You can’t use Free gift per cycle for prepaid plans.

  • A selling plan can only be attached to one gift campaign.

  • Each campaign can include a maximum of 5 gifts and 5 plans.

  • You can’t expect updates to take effect immediately — any change to a gift or plan will only apply from the second upcoming gift order, not the next one.
